Roger is one of the two Independent Financial Advisers employed by the practice. Starting his career with Midland Bank in Liverpool, he was promoted to their Asset Finance Division at Forward Trust in Kendal in 1984. In the early 1990’s Roger left the Bank to work as an Adviser with Norwich Union, later an IFA Manager with Furness Building Society in South Lakes and Lancaster. Latterly, specialising in personal and trustee investment advice with regional Accountants RST Group, he joined TWP in 2003 where he has built up a solid following of private clients.
With particular expertise in investment matters for private clients and trustees alike, Roger also advises on inheritance tax mitigation strategies and fees planning for Long-term Care. He also provides entirely fee-based independent mortgage advice for personal and commercial clients. Outside work, Roger’s family of 4 children are now grown up which leaves him more time to indulge his main passions of travelling, music and supporting Liverpool Football Club! |

Stuart McGurk

Stuart McGurk has been solving people’s financial problems since 1979 with more than 30 years in the profession. He has a passion for giving his clients advice and help with their money. His career started in Bolton as a Trainee with Provincial Insurance where he became a fellow of the Chartered Insurance Institute. He spent 11 years working around the country before joining the head office in Kendal as head of Technical Services.
Stuart was the Executive Director for the financial services arm of an accountancy practice near Bury. When his sons were born he reduced his commuting by joining Ratcliffe & Bibby before moving to Thomson Wilson Pattinson in 2002. A Chartered Insurance Practitioner, Associate of the Personal Finance Society and Independent Financial Adviser, he has been advising the area’s local business owners, Trustees and families ever since. |
