Retirement Planning
You may well spend a quarter of your adult life (or more!) in retirement. What income will you need to enjoy those years, to do the things you want to do or just to be comfortable? The cost of living increases inexorably and too many people leave retirement planning until it is too late.
Pension plans (also known as personal pensions) remain at the centre of most peoples’ retirement planning. They offer tax relief on contributions and a convenient way to build up funds specifically for your retirement. Our advice is particularly valuable to make sense of the often complex choices where we can help to:
- structure your plans before retirement
- arrange pension investments in preparation for income to be taken
- explain the options available when you draw benefits
- deal with pension benefits on divorce
- help you decide whether, and if so which annuity is best. Approximately 40% of retirees qualify for an enhanced annuity, we will also consider all the other options
